This Monday, a man in his 50s was injured, believed to be very serious, as a result of a short circuit in an electrical switchboard at Siderurgia Nacional, in San Pedro Fins, in the municipality of Maya.
As found out morning Post, the victim had severe burns on his body, especially on his face and hands. Rescuers treated her on the spot and took her to the helipad of the Pedro Hispano Hospital in Matosinhos, where an INEM helicopter was waiting for her. After stabilization, he was taken by helicopter to the Centro Hospitalar e Universitário de Coimbra.
Volunteer firefighters from Moreira da Maia, volunteer firefighters from Pedrusus, volunteer firefighters from Ermesinde and an ambulance and resuscitation vehicle (VMER) from São João Hospital were mobilized to the scene.
The alarm was issued at 12:43 pm. Authorities are investigating the incident.
