The leader of the Liberal Initiative (IL) on Tuesday accused the government and the President of the Republic of forgetting Pedrogane Grande and considered the opening ceremony of the moment of commemoration of the victims a “propaganda maneuver”.
Rui Rocha recalled that on June 17, six years after the fires that broke out in Pedrogan Grande and claimed the lives of 66 people, he was the only party leader who visited this municipality and believed that “today there is a ceremony, because it was so bad for political power” that he didn’t leave that day.
“It was so bad for the Prime Minister, so bad for the President of the Republic, that Pedrogan Grande was not remembered after six years, that today such a presence was inevitable,” he criticized. during a visit to the International Craft Fair in Lisbon.
