“We did not think for a long time and decided to help. Rita shouldn’t have to go through this, she should be eligible for the drug,” says Bruno Brini, president of ADAFSU. This Saturday’s event featured teams from PSP, GNR, firefighters and INEM, as well as famous faces such as Dauto Fakira, Nelson Evora and several futsal players from Benfica.
“Rita is from Odivelas and we talked to the city hall, GNR and some sports clubs that helped. We hope she becomes a great champion of this cause,” says Nelson Viana, Odivelas Fire Commander.
The nurse filed a petition for reimbursement of expenses for medicines. “We have about nine thousand signatures, but we need ten thousand. The drug is already in Infarmed and is awaiting authorization. The sooner this is done, the more effective the treatment,” says Rita.
