A suspect in the stabbing of his former partner in Aveiro was taken into custody this Friday after being presented to a criminal judge at the Aveiro court.
The 63-year-old defendant was detained by the PSP in Aveiro after authorities were alerted to an episode of domestic violence. The 65-year-old victim received minor injuries to his arm and hand as a result of stab wounds.
PSP Aveiro also seized a knife with traces of blood. Everything indicates that the knife was used by the aggressor in attacking the victim.
Aveiro Novos firefighters were called to the scene and took the woman to a hospital in Aveiro.
A brigade of the permanent service of the PSP and a branch of the technical police were also mobilized to the place.
