The 15th edition of the Alive Festival, which runs from Thursday at Passeio Marítimo de Algés, Oeiras, ends this Saturday with performances by bands and artists such as Queens of the Stone Age, Sam Smith, Branko, Angel Olsen and King Princess.
The festival site opens this Saturday, for the last time this year, at 15:00, and around the same time, concerts begin at the entrance.
Approximately two hours later, music begins to play on the remaining six stages.
On the main stage of NOS Alive, Queens of the Stone Age, Sam Smith, Rufus du Sol, Machine Gun Kelly, Carolina Deslandes and Barbara Tinoko perform in a joint show.
The poster also includes performances by, among many others, Branko, Tash Sultana, Angel Olsen, King Princess, Boys Noise, Yen Sung, Iolanda, Coastel, Luís Trigacheiro, a band that appeared in the television series Pôr do Sol. Quisto and comedian Luis Franco Bastos.
Due to the festival, traffic on the sidings and around the Passeio Marítimo de Algés is difficult.
During all days of the festival, from 23:30 to 05:00 the next morning, traffic on CRIL / IC17 on the descending route between the Miraflores junction and the roundabout next to Avenida Brasilia is interrupted.
“Traffic restrictions” are also expected from Thursday to Saturday from 15:00 on Avenida Brasília and Avenida Marginal, between Alges and Alto da Boa Viage, on the CRIL/IC17 viaduct in Alges and on D. Manuel I Square.
As an alternative, the Chamber of Oeiras suggests “privileging the A5, N117/Belem and N6-3 Alto da Boa Viagem”.
NOS Alive encourages the public to “look at the calendar and come together”. “Come early because it’s worth it,” promoter Alvaro Covoins challenged on Wednesday during a visit to the venue.
The concert schedule, as well as other information about the festival, can be found at www.nosalive.com.
