A violent collision with a car that occurred on Saturday at 20:00 on the North Highway, heading from south to north, in the section between Vila Franca de Xira and Carregado, resulted in the death of two people and three injuries.
This was reported by a source of firefighters. cm that the damaged vehicle was transporting workers returning from work.
“The car skidded, it hit the side divider, rolled over several times and fell onto the municipal road on the side of the A1 highway,” the same source explained.
There were 7 fire trucks from Vila Franca, Castaneira do Ribatejo and Alverca, about 30 firefighters. GNR has set up a security perimeter and launched an investigation into the causes.
ABOUT cm the victims are known to be Bangladeshi citizens residing in Portugal. Three of the wounded, in turn, received minor injuries. Nevertheless, they were taken to the Vila Franca de Xira hospital.
