This Monday, PSP announced that it would be filing a complaint against RTP after broadcasting a “cartoon” hinting at police and racism on a public channel.
“We believe the video articulates and represents offensive judgments of honor and respect for all PSP professionals who do their best to ensure democratic legitimacy every day,” the statement said. Security officials believe that the image offends the authority, prestige and trust in the PSP.
The PSP will also file a complaint with the Media Regulatory Authority (ERC) and the Professional Journalists Licensing Commission (CCPJ).
“PSP rejects any racist images, videos, speeches or comments and affirms that all citizens have the same social dignity and are equal before the law,” he adds.
