The Judicial Police of the Center and the PSP of Viseu carried out on Wednesday morning an operation against violent crime and drug trafficking in the town of Viriato, in Viseu. Three men and one woman aged 24 to 60 were detained.
The suspects appear in two separate incidents of violence. One of the cases concerns the situation of a drug trafficker who went to Porto to collect drugs and, upon arrival in Viseu, had to ingest the drug in order not to be caught by the PSP.
A few hours later, he was kidnapped by three suspects who are now in custody and are torturing him in an attempt to get rid of the drug.
The victim was so abused that he lost consciousness and was later hospitalized.
The detainees will be present in the court of Viseu for the first judicial interrogation.
