The fatal victim of a van carrying valuables on the A28 motorway in Povoa de Varzim is Nuno Ricardo Silva, 42. While serving in the army, he was a paratrooper and joined the army’s special forces, the so-called “rangers”. This was now when booking availability. A 58-year-old colleague was also in the car, who was seriously injured, was rescued on the spot and taken to the São João hospital in Porto.
GNR was at the scene and is investigating the reason for the search. The motorway was closed in this section and in this direction until 12:35.
