This Monday, the Public Prosecutor’s Office (MP) demanded the preventive detention of Ernani Vas Antunes, believing that there is a risk of absconding and disrupting the investigation. As for millionaire friend Armando Pereira, the MP asked for house arrest, which can be converted into a guarantee of 10 million euros.
The other two defendants in the case, Ernani Vas Antunes’ daughter, Jessica Antunes, and economist António Loureiro, are expected to remain at large.
