Judge Allows Trump to Release Some Data Related to Capitol Invasion

This Friday, a judge ruled that former U.S. President Donald Trump can share some information on social media relating to the 2021 Capitol invasion as long as it does not jeopardize the country’s security.

With the decision, Judge Tanya Chutkan of DC federal court in Washington tried to strike a sweet spot between prosecutors’ fears that Trump would undermine the integrity of the case by sharing information on social media. networks, as well as lawyers for the ex-president who oppose any restrictions on his freedom of speech.

“Mr. Trump, like any other US citizen, has the right to freedom of speech, enshrined in the First Amendment to the Constitution. However, this right is not absolute,” Chutkan emphasized during the court session.
