Bayern had intentions to introduce the goalkeeper who chose Real Madrid.

Bayern Munich’s chief executive confirmed this Sunday at a presentation by former Tottenham striker Harry Kane that Chelsea’s goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga will not be reinforcing the Bavarians because he is heading to Real Madrid.

“We were close and actually we wanted to introduce Kepa today. [domingo]. But he is a Spaniard and chose Real Madrid,” Jan-Christian Driesen admitted.

Chelsea will make their Premier League debut this Sunday against Liverpool. London club manager Mauricio Pochettino has ruled out the Spanish goalkeeper from meeting options at Stamford Bridge.

Dressen said he is convinced Bayern Munich will “find a solution by 1 September” when it comes to scoring.

“In Sven Ulreich, we have a goalkeeper who is always there when needed. We’re glad Sven is here. It is clear that we are looking for a way out of this difficult situation, ”concluded the executive director of the Bavarian club.
