The Judicial Police (SP) arrested two men and a woman for crimes such as aggravated robbery, kidnapping, extortion, drug trafficking, abuse of a guarantee or credit card, and possession of a prohibited weapon.
According to the SP, the crimes date back to the end of 2022 and were committed in the city of Maya in Porto. On October 20 last year, the detainees broke into a residential building and attacked, closed and robbed the owner. They took several goods and more than 9,000 euros in cash.
On November 13, the detainees approached a resident in the garage of an apartment building, took him away in their own car in an unknown direction, “where he was tied to a chair with his face constantly covered at about 17:00” in order to find out where he had the money and the codes of the victim’s bank cards .
Having gained access to bank cards, the suspects unsuccessfully tried several times to withdraw money from ATMs. As a result, they were left with only hundreds of euros in cash and part of the victim’s property, later released in Gondomar.
The SP statement said that this Sunday searches were carried out on houses in the localities of Lusada, Gondomar and Porto. More than three kilograms of cocaine, heroin and hashish, cutting tools, precision scales, a pistol and various illegal caliber ammunition were seized.
The two men and woman arrested are between 22 and 26 years old and have convictions for crimes against property, physical integrity, and drug trafficking, SP reported.
They have already been presented to the authorities for interrogation and application of coercive measures. The two men were placed in pre-trial detention, and the woman was forced to report to the police station.
