Ponte de Foros do Mocho, a village in Montargil, Portalegre, is completely on lockdown after part of the infrastructure of the bridge connecting the village to other places was destroyed by torrential rain on Tuesday morning.
As found out cm, along with Master Sergeant of GNR Command Portalegre, the patrol is at the entrance to the bridge to prevent the passage of residents and prevent the complete destruction of the bridge. “The military allows emergency vehicles to pass if necessary,” he explains.
The passage was closed around 11:00.
Senior sergeant explains cm that as soon as the water level drops, “the population will have other alternatives, more secondary ones, to be able to leave the village.”
