A source from the Baixo Alentejo Sub-Regional Command for Emergency and Civil Protection said that the warning about the incident that occurred in Quinta do Castelo, in the parish of Salvada e Quintos, was issued at 17:50 and the death of a man was announced. in place.
According to a GNR source, the 35-year-old motorcyclist, who was seriously injured, was taken to Beja hospital.
The rescue operations involved 12 firefighters from Beja, the National Institute of Emergency Medicine (INEM) and GNR, supported by four vehicles, including Moura’s Immediate Life Support (SIV) ambulance.
An INEM helicopter was mobilized to the scene, but it was never used.
