Lieutenant General Paulo Silverio will become the second commander-in-chief of the GNA, on the proposal of the new commander-in-chief Rui Veloso accepted by the Minister of Internal Administration. José Luis Carneiro also accepted proposals from the new PSP National Director, Chief Superintendent Barros Correia, to appoint his new Deputy Directors.
The Chief Superintendents will be Paulo Lucas (Operations and Security), Bastos Leitan (Logistics and Finance), Paula Peneda (Human Resources) and Paulo Pereira (National Inspector of this police force).
They commanded respectively the Special Police Unit, the Higher Institute of Police Sciences and Internal Security, Porto Command and Lisbon Command, where new leaders were now to be appointed.
