83-year-old Nancy Pelosi announced this Friday that she will run for re-election to the US House of Representatives in 2024.
“Now more than ever, our city needs us to promote San Francisco’s values and fuel our recovery. Our country needs America to show the world that our flag is still here, with freedom and justice for all. That’s why I’m running for re-election – and I respectfully ask you to vote,” he wrote in a post on the social network Twitter/X.
The Democrat is seeking to reach his twentieth term in the U.S. House of Representatives. She represented the city of San Francisco for more than 30 years, first being elected in 1987.
When his possible new term ends, he will be 86 years old.
