The pets of a 19-year-old girl killed by her younger sister in Peniche were rescued on Thursday evening following a police report. CMTV showed the conditions in which they lived. One of the dogs, a French bulldog, was tied to the sofa with a rope. Another dog, who had recently given birth, was with her puppies in a plastic crate on the floor in one of the two rooms in the outbuilding.
In the early evening, the local animal welfare association went to the site to pick up the dogs. During contact, Jorge Pereira, Lara’s father, even tried to sell a French bulldog to the volunteers for 400 euros, but eventually agreed to hand over the animals to the association, which assured him that they would be returned if he managed to create conditions for caring for the dogs in the future. .
