This Tuesday, the Ministry of Justice requested the conviction of Bruno Rodrigues for the death of his mother last November on Monte Alegre Street in Porto.
The prosecutor said that this was “announced death” and only asked for justice to be restored. “Any punishment requested seems small to us,” the prosecutor said. The defense of the 37-year-old defendant referred to the fact that the defendant was addicted to alcohol and drugs. The lawyer also argued that Bruno did not intend to kill his mother and asked that the sentence be as lenient as possible.
The crime was committed on November 16 last year. Bruno set fire to the room where his mother was and went to the kitchen to eat. Maria Manuela Brito, 68, died at the scene. The announcement of the decision was scheduled for the 28th.
