Two 21-year-olds of Polish nationality got into trouble at sea this Sunday after being dragged away by a boat. The warning was issued at 14:10 through the lifeguard association Os Golfinhos in connection with the incident on the Internacional beach in Porto.
The young people were saved by members of the SeaWatch project. Media present at the scene noticed that one of the young men was holding onto a rock and was soon dragged away by two rescuers.
The second swimmer was rescued by three lifeguards and a surfer. He was also called to the scene Leixões Marine Police, Leixões Volunteer Firefighters and Matosinhos City Council Bathers’ Assistance Service.
During the rescue, two rescuers and one of the young people received several bruises. They were taken to the hospital.
