In the second half, in the 66th minute, Cristiano Ronaldo equalized the score. Brazilian and former Benfica player Anderson Talisca scored the decisive goal in the 72nd minute, and in the 77th minute the score was 3–1 in favor of the Saudi team.
The team, coached by Luis Castro, takes first place in Group E, having beaten the Iranians Persepolis in their debut match. In that match, in addition to Ronaldo, the Portuguese Otavio was in the starting lineup.
