Italian authorities officially confirmed this Thursday the death of two Portuguese citizens as a result of a bus accident on Tuesday evening in the Venice area in northeastern Italy.
Gualter Carvalhido Mayo and Maria Fernanda Arnaud Maciel, the Portuguese victims aged 58 and 56, lived in Hamburg, Germany, but were both from Caxinas, Vila do Conde.
This Wednesday, the government confirmed the death of two Portuguese citizens and one wounded in a tragedy that killed a total of 21 people. According to the latest information from Italian authorities, at least 15 people were injured, none of them are Portuguese citizens.
IM is monitoring the situation through the Portuguese Embassy in Rome and is already in contact with the relatives of the deceased couple.
