On Monday morning, three people were stabbed in the Parque des Nations in Lisbon. Two men, aged 18 and 36, were arrested for grievous bodily harm, robbery and possession of a prohibited weapon at the time of the incident, but were however released.
According to a statement from the PSP, a “disturbance with bladed weapons” was called in which people were stabbed. Law enforcement officers arrived at the scene and found three victims with injuries of varying severity.
Armed with weapons and using physical force, the suspects struck the victims and stole one of their belongings. One of the victims was hospitalized with several puncture wounds to the torso, legs and arms.
“At the same time, after informing various police authorities about the characteristics of the suspects, it was possible to intercept them in different places, near the scene of the crime, with bloody marks on their clothes and body, and also, in one of the suspects, they had a bladed weapon with them, which is also prohibited by law about weapons,” the department said in a statement.
