Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira (Aprilia) qualified directly this Friday for the second qualifying round (Q2) of the Indonesian MotoGP Grand Prix, the 15th round of the season, finishing seventh in time trial.
The Almada rider finished the session with a time of 1.31.199 minutes, 0.725 seconds behind the fastest Spaniard, Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia). Maverick Viñales (Aprilia) was second fastest with 0.154 seconds, while Italian Marco Bezzecchi (Ducati) was third with 0.170, despite undergoing surgery for a broken collarbone last weekend.
Miguel Oliveira, who won the Lombrock race in 2022, was 19th in the first free practice of the day.
