Four-year-old Fulla Al-Laham woke up alone in Khan Younis Hospital. located in the south of the Gaza Strip, after an Israeli airstrike destroyed the house he lived in and killed 14 family members, including his mother, father and brothers.
The home of a Palestinian family was destroyed in a wave of attacks that killed more than 2,300 people, a quarter of them children, and injured about 10,000, according to Gaza health authorities.
The girl’s grandmother, Um Mohammed, who lost her son and family during an air raid, is in hospital with her granddaughter. “They were sitting inside the house, my children, his children and the mother-in-law of one of them. Suddenly, without warning, they blew up the house and 14 people were killed. Only this girl survived, my granddaughter Fulla. I hope she gets better, gets better and gets better. May their souls rest in peace,” the grandmother told Reuters.
