Kharkov, Odessa and Lviv were subjected to a massive attack by Russian drones

Early Friday morning, Russia launched a massive drone attack, targeting critical infrastructure in southern Ukraine.

Of the 40 drones launched by Russia, 24 were shot down by the Ukrainian Air Force, the agency reports. Reuters. It was the largest drone attack in recent weeks, targeting Kharkov, Odessa and Lviv. The Air Force said the drones flew to different regions in different groups and that an X-59 missile was also shot down.

“We understand that as winter approaches, Russian terrorists will try to cause more damage. We will respond to the enemy,” Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said about the attack.

Ukraine is bracing for a second winter of Russian airstrikes on power grids as it is more vulnerable than last year with less excess capacity and little backup equipment, authorities said.

Maxim Kozitsky, the governor of Lvov, says infrastructure was damaged five times, but there were no reports of casualties.
