This Friday, the Israeli army published the contents of an alleged telephone conversation in which the person in charge of the health system in the Gaza Strip said that Hamas “controls the fuel” in the conflict zone.
On Thursday, we recall, Israeli Chief of Staff Herzl Halevi said that the country has begun to allow the controlled transfer of fuel to hospitals in the Gaza Strip, provided that it will not be used for military purposes.
In a post published on the social network X, the Israeli army writes that “Hamas steals fuel from Gazan civilians, stores it in Al-Shifa Hospital and uses it for terror.” To support this claim, the army releases an audio recording in which a health official in the Palestinian territory is asked about the amount of fuel that the Islamic group will store in the proposed tunnels under the hospital.
“Do you think they have less than half a million liters? We both know it’s more,” says the source. The health service estimates the radical Islamic group is storing “one million” liters of fuel under Al Shifa Hospital.
Since the conflict between Israel and Hamas began on October 7, 9,061 people have been killed and 32,000 injured, mostly on the Palestinian side. Among the dead were 3,760 children and 2,326 women.
