The day after the resignation of Prime Minister Antonio Costa CMTV ranked as the 14 most-watched program on cable television.
This Wednesday, “Grande Jornal da Noite” was watched by 1.6 million viewers, the program “Mercado” – 365 thousand, and “Mais CM” – 508 thousand.
In prime time, “Grande Jornal da Tarde” had 615 thousand viewers, and the program “The Voice”, which followed the match “Sport Lisbon and Benfica”, had 850 thousand.

The day before, on the day of Antonio Costa’s resignation, CMTV was the choice of the Portuguese, registering an average daily share of 5.9% and 125,190 thousand viewers, while CNN Portugal registered only a 4.3% share with 91,260 thousand viewers and SIC Notícias a 4.1% share and 87,480 thousand spectators.
A television morning Post has been the absolute leader in national cable information for 19 consecutive months.
A CMTV airs on Channel 8 on all cable platforms, but not yet on DTT.
