These two security services indicate that passenger transport has undergone noticeable changes in recent years, in particular due to the introduction of new modes of transport, such as the transport of passengers on an individual and paid basis in unmarked vehicles from the electronic platform TVDE.
PSP and GNR emphasize that this mode of transport, developed by drivers and operators, is subject to its own rules, but sometimes there is a disregard for the legal restrictions imposed and the basic rules of treatment, especially with regard to licensing, certification and training of drivers and technical requirements for operating enterprises and vehicles. means.
The operation will intensify road inspections targeting passenger transport in order to prevent practices contrary to current legislation on the part of drivers and transport companies, as well as seeking to promote fair competition in this sector of road transport, the statement said. joint statement.
