A tourist has died following a knife and hammer attack in central Paris. Two people were injured

The victims were walking. The suspect killed a tourist who had dual German and Filipino citizenship. One of the victims is an English tourist.

Police detained the attacker, French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin said. “The police have just bravely arrested an attacker who was attacking passers-by in Paris, on the edge of the Quai Grenelle. Please avoid this area,” the official wrote on the social network X.

According to a police source, the man shouted “Allahu Akbar” during his arrest. The attacker was included in the protocols of the General Directorate of Internal Security of France for psychological observation.
