Referee Thiago Martins sent off Arouca’s Bogdan Milovanov after the defender fell to the ground in Sunday’s 4-0 defeat to the team coached by Daniel Sousa in Boavista.
At the Bessa stadium, Bogdan Milovanov received his first yellow card in the 42nd minute for a foul on the touchline, in the attacking half of the team. In the 49th minute, Boavista left-back Bruno Onyemaechi’s shot hit the Ukrainian right-back.
The Arouca football player got angry and asked the referee for help. Thiago Martins was unhappy and showed him a second yellow card.
This Sunday, Arouca returned to winning ways in the Portuguese league, after 11 games, but remains in last place in the standings. Boavista recorded their fourth defeat in a row and remain in ninth place.
