“Little” Endric advanced the Verdao in the 21st minute with his 11th goal of the tournament, and Nikao restored the level in the 80th.
Sao Paulo’s team, which ended up with two more points than Grêmio and four points against Atlético Mineiro and Flamengo, extended their lead in the standings – four more titles than Santos, who today lost for the first time in Serie B – and improved ninth trophy under the Portuguese coach and third in 2023.
