Some 200 public health doctors have written an open letter to Health Minister Manuel Pizarro, arguing against their integration into the all-commitment regime because they believe it does not address the underlying problems in the field. In a letter released Tuesday by the National Federation of Physicians, the experts said that “with knowledge of credentials related to service restructuring and total commitment, they intend to resist integration into this new mode of practice.”
For public health physicians, “the proposed full commitment will determine, upon compliance, the automatic suspension of current legal work and career regimes. Doctors will no longer be subject to the set of rules of the current instruments for regulating collective labor,” they say.
