Navegante travel tickets for circulation in the Lisbon Metropolitan Region (AML) will maintain their price in 2024, Transportes Metropolitanos de Lisboa announced.
The company’s statement highlights that since its creation on April 1, 2019, the Navegante pass, which allows the use of all public service companies providing regular passenger transport in all 18 municipalities involved in AML, has not undergone any price changes.
As envisaged in the 2024 State Budget report, this price freeze will allow journeys of all transport operators to continue next year, with Navegante paying the usual prices: 30 euros for municipal Navegante (trips within the municipality only) and 40 euros. for the capital city of Navegante (in 18 AML municipalities).
Navegante and +65 family discounts also remain in place, with Navegante 12 remaining free and this discount will be extended to students under 18 and under 23 in 2024.
By decision of the Lisbon Metropolitan Region, the periodic tariffs in force for the Carris Metropolitana will not change next year, maintaining the value in force at the time of its launch in June 2022.
At the end of November, deputies of the Committee on Budget and Finance (COF) approved increased provisions within the state budget (an additional 50 million euros) guaranteeing compensation to transport operators for maintaining vehicle prices. public transport tickets.
