In the case of chemicals, this is the presence of phthalates – substances that can make hard plastics plastic, or an excess amount of boron, which is responsible for viscosity. Toys with a choking hazard include those with batteries or magnets.
The DGC has issued alerts to the Administration of Food and Economic Security (ASAE).
