On Tuesday, artist Kanye West issued an apology in Hebrew for anti-Semitic comments he has made in the past in interviews and on social media.
“I sincerely apologize to the Jewish community for any unplanned attacks. It was not my intention to cause pain or disrespect, and I apologize for any pain I may have caused,” the musician wrote on his Facebook page. Instagram.
Last year, the rapper sparked outrage with his anti-Jewish posts and was even banned from X (formerly Twitter) for inciting hatred.
Kanye, who recently changed his stage name to Ye, has suggested on social media that musician Sean “Diddy” Combs is being controlled by “the Jews.” Another post showed a cross with a swastika (symbol of the Nazis) inside a Star of David (symbol of the Jews).
Kanye West’s controversial statements also led to the loss of partnerships with Adidas and GAP for Yeezy products.
