In October, Beja Airport again registered more than a thousand passengers (1,484 people), after 1,417 people passed through Alentejo Airport in September.
October was the best month of 2023 in Beja. In terms of the number of airports and airfields on the mainland, Beja took fourth place, although Lisbon (3 million passengers), Porto (1.4 million) and Faro (million) are far behind it. But ahead are Cascais (1299), Viseu (626), Portimao (597), Vila Real (381) and Braganca (356).
In the first eleven months of last year, Beja Airport received 4,907 passengers.
Data provided by the National Civil Aviation Authority also shows that 241 passengers traveled through Beja Airport in November.
Most of the flights operating at this airport are private jets with passengers seeking out the beaches of the Alentejo coast. Beja Airport is the only airport not connected to the national motorway network.
