This Friday a man was arrested for disorderly conduct on a plane at Faro airport.
In a statement, PSP said it was called to intervene on a plane “which was traveling between Luton and Lanzarote and was heading towards Faro Airport due to the presence of eight unruly passengers.”
Inside the plane, police found that the above-mentioned passengers were disrespectful, namely screaming and repeatedly banging on the doors of their carry-on luggage, and drinking alcoholic beverages, ignoring the instructions of the flight crew.
Seven people involved in the riots left the plane without resistance on police orders. One of the passengers behaved in a hostile and aggressive manner, refusing to disembark and repeatedly disobeying orders given to him.
PSP agents were forced to “arrest him and remove him from the aircraft using physical force, given the constant resistance offered.”
The man was arrested for the crimes of insubordination, resisting and coercing an employee and was given a notice to appear in court.
