Bad weather in the Azores has already led to 13 incidents, such as floods in houses, roads and landslides, with two people displaced, Civil Protection reported this Saturday.
According to a statement from the Regional Civil Protection and Fire Safety Service of the Azores (SRPCBA), “since yesterday [sexta-feira]and at the moment there are only 13 cases on three islands: 11 on Faial, one on São Miguel and one on Graciosa.”
According to the SRPCBA, the reported situations involve flooding of houses and roads, as well as landslides.
According to Civil Protection, on the island of Faial “there was a need to relocate two people, an action carried out by the Institute of Social Security of the Azores and the Municipal Civil Protection Service of Horta” and “there were no casualties or injuries to be reported.”
Firefighters, the regional public works department, the forest service, municipal civil protection, parish councils and public safety police were on the scene.
