On Carnival Sunday, the maximum forecast for Bragança and Guarda will be eight degrees. In Lisbon the figure will be 16 degrees, in Porto – 15, in Coimbra – 13 and in Faro – 17 degrees are expected. To play the North to South Carnival, an umbrella will definitely need to be built into your costume.
For many local authorities, staging Carnival represents an investment of several thousand euros, and parades may be limited due to weather conditions. In the Lisbon area alone, the goal of attracting crowds to watch the Corsican parade in Torres Vedras, Loures, Sesimbra and Montijo costs approximately two million euros.
