Fernando Madureira refuses to give out the mobile phone code for examinations as part of Operation Praetorian

The crimes attributed to members of the Super Dragoins detained as part of Operation Praetorian may be aggravated. Four mobile phones contained WhatsApp messages and audio recordings, which the judge regarded as new material.

This set includes Vitor Catan’s cell phone, but not Fernando Madureira’s. “Monkey” refused to give the code.

The judge has referred the case to the MP and will give the lawyers an opportunity to review the evidence through the pen along with the report before confronting the accused on the matter.

The interrogation of the suspects will continue this Saturday at the Porto Criminal Investigation Court. Fernando Madureira, head of the FC Porto support group, is responsible for money laundering and is the last person to be heard.

Operation Praetorian

The first judicial interrogation began on Thursday. The deputy emphasizes the dangers of continuing criminal activity, disruption of the investigation, social anxiety and escape.

On Wednesday, Fernando Madureira, his wife Sandra Madureira and ten other members of Super Dragões were arrested as a result of the PSP mega-operation. Police seized several weapons and drugs, a safe with 50 thousand euros, three high-end cars of Fernando Madureira, as well as computer equipment and items of clothing.

The investigation focuses on attacks recorded at the Porto FC general assembly on November 13 and threats against the club’s presidential candidate André Villas-Boas.
