In Cascais, a neighbor attacked a man with an ax

A police source said CM that the aggressor and the victim had been quarreling for some time. For reasons that have not yet been specifically determined, the two got into an argument and the assailant grabbed an ax and stabbed his neighbor at least twice in vital areas. Parede and PSP firefighters were called. The wounded man was stabilized and taken to the San Francisco Xavier Hospital in Lisbon.

Already at the hospital, the victim, who remained hospitalized Thursday with a poor prognosis, was able to describe her attacker, whom PSP identified only due to lack of evidence. An ax and other illegal weapons, including a firearm, were in the attacker’s home.
