Two young women, aged 14 and 17, were seriously injured this Saturday when they fell from an empty building from a height of about seven meters in Elvas (Portalegre), Civil Protection and PSP sources said.
A source at the Alto Alentejo subregional command for emergencies and civil protection told Lusa that the alarm was raised at 00:36 and the two young women were taken to the Santa Luzia hospital in Elvas.
According to a police source, the empty building from which the young women fell is located on Rua da Quinta do Sena, next to the Colosseum de Elvas.
Eleven firefighters from Elvas, the National Institute of Emergency Medicine (INEM) and PSP were mobilized to the scene, supported by six vehicles, including the Elvas Immediate Life Support Vehicle (SIV) and the Portalegre Ambulance and Resuscitation Vehicle (VMER). .
