In the first month of this year, the State People’s Republic issued 14,206 fewer notices of administrative violations than in the same period last year. The drop, operational sources note, is “related to the protests” that began on January 7 and demonstrates “a clear decrease in police activity.” Low calculations, considering the lowest amount of fines of 60 euros, the loss to the state treasury is almost one million euros less.
According to data that CM had access, in January 2023, the State Police issued 47,497 travel documents. This year the number has fallen to 33,291.
Arrests for traffic crimes also reflect this trend. While 3,335 people were detained in January last year, in the first month of 2024 their number dropped to 2,376, 969 fewer arrests. During this period, largely the same checks were recorded, mainly relating to speed, alcohol and mobile phones.
ABOUT CM This Sunday he tried to get clarification from the PPR High Command, but did not receive an answer, “because it was Sunday.”
