The second hearing in the case of the death of Igor Silva, who was stabbed 18 times near the Dragao stadium, is taking place today at the Sao Joao Novo court in Porto.
Like the previous hearing, there is also a strong police presence at this hearing. On Thursday, riots broke out outside the court as the wife and daughter of Marco “Orelhas”, one of the accused, teased the victim’s mother with faces and kisses.

A woman with “ears” speaks in court
Marisa Santos, Marco’s wife, also began speaking in court. He confirms that there was an atmosphere of conflict with Igor and that he attacked his daughter Iara.
On the day of the incident, they were at a party at the Dragau stadium when Igor appeared.
“He told my sister-in-law that he was going to kill Marco,” he said.
Marisa also says that she did not see Igor being stabbed. That he took part in the attacks on the young woman and did not realize what happened next.

In his speech, “Sio” highlighted the first contradiction in relation to the statements made yesterday by Marco.
The defendant, speaking in court, claims that he saw Marco “Orelhas” next to the body of Igor Silva.
“I was shocked by the death,” admits “Sio,” who remembers being friends with both Renato and Igor.
“Sio” was due to attend the championship celebration with Renato and there was initial disagreement, which was quelled by the presence of the police.
Although he admitted that disagreements between them on the night of the celebration were inevitable, he did not expect this outcome.

Paulo “Chanfra”, Marco’s son-in-law, burst into tears at the Sao Joao Novo court in Porto.
The accused, who was undergoing serious treatment, cried obsessively, could not bear it, and had to be taken away. Before leaving, he repeated: “I didn’t kill anyone, I didn’t kill anyone”.
“Cianfra” has been in prison for two years. Initially, only Renato was arrested, and then Marco.

Diogo Meireles, known as “Sio”, denies any involvement in the murder of Igor Silva.
He admits that he was at FC Porto’s 2022 title celebration and witnessed discussions between the family of Marco “Orellas” and the victim’s group.
He says that Marco then arrived at the Dragao stadium, that everyone started running and that he thought that Orellas was going to fight Igor.
“Sio” says that after that he lost sight of everyone.
“I only saw Igor lying on the floor and didn’t believe it. Paulo “Cianfra” came and didn’t believe it either. He grabbed Igor by the legs and asked for help. I’m innocent,” he says.
