This Thursday evening, Aveiro police arrested a pair of robbers after robbing a high-end jewelry watch store in the city center.
At around 10:30 p.m., PSP Aveiro received an alert about a robbery at a jewelry store located in the Forum shopping center. The thieves fled in a car, but were stopped by a police patrol.
To stop the car, agents fired several intimidating shots.
The suspects, residents of Ovar, used a large sledgehammer to break the glass in a shop window and stole watches worth thousands of euros.
A criminal investigation team was called in to investigate.
A couple of robbers were taken to the PSP dungeons. The two men will appear before a criminal judge within the next 48 hours.
Based on the results of the first judicial interrogation, coercive measures will be prescribed.
