The IL President said this Saturday that the only secret agreement he knows about is the agreement that the Prime Minister “concluded behind the back” of the Home Minister with the SP on the allocation of travel allowances.
“Regarding this specter of secret agreements, I inform you that the last secret agreement that I know of and which later became public is the agreement of António Costa, known behind the back of José Luis Carneiro, to provide a subsidy to the Judicial Police, this really the only secret agreement that I know of in recent times,” Rui Rocha said at a rally in Aveiro.
In this way, the liberal reacted to the statements of the head of the PS list from Braga, José Luis Carneiro, who suggested this Saturday the existence of “hidden negotiations” between the Democratic Alliance and other parties regarding the next government.
On the eve of the start of the official campaign for the legislative elections on March 10, the day he toured the districts of Santarem, Porto and Aveiro, Rui Rocha assured that there were no secret agreements with IL.
And he added: “There are no secret agreements with us, it is so clear that in the debate [televisivo] Together with Luis Montenegro, I set ten tasks that we needed to discuss with the PSD with complete clarity. With us, the Portuguese know what they are counting on.”
