The Prosecutor’s Office (PO) has filed charges against a man suspected of insulting and threatening a group of judges during a trial in an Aveiro court in which he was accused, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Porto Region (PGRP) said on Wednesday.

The actions committed by the defendant occurred during a trial for crimes related to drug trafficking and possession of prohibited weapons, in which 10 defendants appeared, including a father and son, the latter was sentenced to one and a half years in prison, effectively imprisonment. .

After reading the decision, the accused became agitated and was forcibly removed from the courtroom by police, shouting at the court as “racist,” as Lusa discovered at the scene.

This incident prompted the parliamentary prosecutor to request a certificate to initiate criminal proceedings against the defendant for crimes related to violation of a sovereign authority and threats.

The team’s presiding judge also said in a statement on the record that she was “deeply offended.”
