Fado Bicha releases a new song that is a “manifesto of rejection of Andre Ventura’s party”

This Thursday, Fado Bicha released a new single, “Dar de Beber à Desventura,” which aims to be “a manifesto of rejection of André Ventura’s party.” The duo, created by Lila Fadista and João Caçador, say artists must “demonstrate and signal the deterioration of public and political discourse in Portugal.”

The text says: “There was only one, he came barking on TV, Claiming to be the protector of an honest people. After 12 years it’s terrible to take him for a walk.” And it ends: “Let’s drink misfortune/Drain the fascists’ mouths.”

The single features Luis Clara Gomes (Moullinex) and the choir of singer Mila Dores.

The manifesto came after “(…) ethnic imprisonment for the Roma, after Bruno Cande, after billboards talking about purity, after football commentary programs,” they write on Instagram.
