A firefighter from Muran Corporation, Evora, was punched and had his neck squeezed by a man. The attacker, accompanied by family members, drove a car to the gates of the fire station in search of help for his son.
Fabio Quintas, head of the corporation, explains CM That the attack happened at 00:10 on Saturday: “Three women, a man with a head wound and two children rang the doorbell asking for help. They explained that the wounded man had a bruise on his head from an attack by another man.”
The group’s movements were recorded on video surveillance, which moments later recorded the arrival of the wounded young man’s father. He drove the van to the barracks gate. “This caused damage to the automation and it failed,” adds Fabio Quintas.
Several firefighters went outside when the driver grabbed one of them, 33, by the neck and tried to hit him. “My firefighter dodged, pushed him and received help from his colleagues,” explains Commander Mourana. The local GNR office arrived quickly. The military identified the attacker.
The victim did not want to be hospitalized. “We have already filed a complaint against the attacker for offenses and damages. From now on, access of outsiders to the perimeter of the barracks is prohibited,” says Fabio Quintas.
